Your Tax Return CHECKLIST
- T-Slips from your all your income sources, T3, T4, T5, etc
- Slips from your investments manager, RSP receipts and/or transfers; RIFS, etc.
- Trading reports from your investment broker
- Information regarding real estate sales in the past tax year
- Financial reports, books and statements of all small business and/or farm activity
- Receipts for rent or Municipal Property Tax paid in the past tax year
- Receipts for medical expenses - get a SUMMARY SHEET from your Pharmacy
- Receipts for charitable donations

It’s important to keep your personal information up to date. A change in your name, marital status, medical condition, or address can be critical to your eligibility for certain deductions and credits.
Filing on time
Filing on time may prevent having to pay extra interest on amounts and avoid late-filing penalties. If you haven't filed for a year or more it's easy to catch up - but be prepared for some extra costs for filing late.
